Atlas FAQ — portals, print & freemium
Navigation answers for solvers who want primary sources, not another gamified feed. Facts only — this site does not host puzzles.

What is the core idea behind TappyPotato?
TappyPotato is a curated atlas of logic-puzzle types and the sites where you can play them. It focuses on pure deduction: rules, how to start, common stalls, and outbound links to third-party play sites. The house line is simple — the answer is not the point; thinking is. We do not run ads inside puzzle engines here, because we do not run engines here.
What sits under All-in-one portals?
Portals (19 sites on the category page) are cross-genre hubs — sites that carry many rule sets under one interface. Examples in the index include BrainBashers, Janko.at, Conceptis, and other multi-type doors. Use them to sample Japanese grids and arithmetic types before you commit to a specialist list.
How do I use Printable & PDF for paper solving?
Printable & PDF lists archives that publish downloadable grids. Krazydad is the booklet people name first: PDF sets with answers, sized for ordinary printer paper, no account required. Check page count and answer keys before you print a class set. Rights stay with the authors — do not re-upload their files.
What does the Freemium tag mean on this atlas?
Freemium means the linked site offers a usable free layer (often a daily grid, a limited archive, or a free mode) and also sells extras. Those extras vary by host: fewer ads, more archives, coaching metrics, or physical goods. The tag is not a warranty of “unlimited forever free play” — open the card and verify the paywall yourself.
Why does the atlas push thinking over quick keys?
Instant fill tools exist elsewhere. This atlas points you at rule pages, step explainers, and communities where the path matters. If you only need a completed grid, a brute-force paste will do that; it teaches you nothing.
