Crosswords, cryptics, anagrams, cryptograms — the language is the clue. A little vocabulary goes a long way.
Where to start?
Crossword is the safe door; cryptic is the brain-burner; anagram/cryptogram suit odd minutes. Some English or Chinese is enough.
How is this different?
Sudoku, Nonogram and Kakuro reason on a grid; here the clue is language. If a puzzle needs both, it lands under word.
