Why vector PDF/EPS matters

Vector puzzle files store lines and glyphs as geometry. They stay sharp at Letter/A4 scale; a raster screenshot does not.

Booklet pipelines (as public sites run them)

Large free archives generate many valid grids, bin them by difficulty, and drop them into print templates. You receive a PDF — the generator stays on their side.

Answer-key layout convention

Solutions are often shrunk into small thumbnail grids at the back (for example 2×3 or 3×4 per page) so verification stays cell-legible without reprinting full-size pages.

Blank classroom templates

Useful blanks use a strong outer frame, lighter interior lines, and margin for pencil marks or handwritten clues. Thick enough to erase without shredding mid-lesson.

Paper weight

Light 20 lb / ~75 gsm sheets pill under heavy erase. Many solvers prefer roughly 90–100 gsm (about 24–28 lb) bright paper for pencil work.

Ink bleed on duplex prints

Heavy fills show through. Prefer thin vector strokes and light gray helpers if you duplex; test one sheet before a class run.
