Nonograms: the picture is a side effect
You shade from the row and column clues. A correct picture means the logic held. You are not drawing.

Where to play nonograms
The Nonogram page under How to play covers rules and stuck points. No account: Nonograms.org — old, plain, deep. Community and color: Griddlers. Nonogram.com is a mobile habit with dailies; fine as a snack, thin as a textbook. Hanjie and Picross are the same idea under other names. Sites live under Where to play → Nonogram / Picross.
Size and color
Start 10×10, one color. Color is a second logic: each color has its own runs. Do not put 25×25 in a ten-minute wait. For steps, use Nonogram Solver under Solvers & tools. This category is for play.
Not the same as Nikoli types
Nonogram clues are numbered runs. Japanese types lean on adjacency and loops. Both can live without 1–9; they are not the same path. For spatial rules, open Japanese pencil puzzles or those type pages — do not hunt Slitherlink inside a Nonogram site.
