Rules
- Place the stated number of stars in each bold region (usually one or two).
- Each row and column holds the same number of stars.
- No two stars may touch in any of the eight directions.
How to start
Shade the exclusion zone first
Drop a star and all eight neighbours die at once — that is how the grid moves.
Solve small regions first
A two- or three-cell region leaves almost no choice.
Use row and column counts to verify
When a row is full, everything else in it is out.
Where players get stuck
- Blocking only orthogonally and forgetting diagonals.
- Assuming one star per region when some grids ask for two.
